Set in Mt. Minobu, the head temple of the Nichiren sect, which boasts a history of 750 years, this is a high-value-added Buddhist cultural experience tour that touches at the heart of Buddhism, focusing on ceremonies and events that were previously unfamiliar to anyone other than parishioners, and Buddhist vegetarian cuisine (reproduced from archived documents) that has a deep connection to Saint Nichiren. Through the special experiences that can only be had at Minobu, we offer an unforgettable Japanese experience.

Special tour of Kuonji Temple (Main Hall, Soshido Hall, and Buddha Hall) with commentary by a monk.

Yuba meal, gagaku experience, interaction with students from Minobusan University
Dinner at Kakurinbo with a yuba meal. While enjoying the meal, participants will have the opportunity to experience gagaku and uchiwa taiko drumming, and interact with students from Minobusan University.

Oteranchi @Kakurinbo
Using “yuba” and “Akebono soybeans,” which are specialties of Minobu Town, this Buddhist vegetarian meal has been arranged to be easily eaten by contemporary people. Enjoy “Oterunchi,” a lunch at the temple.

At the main hall of Kakurinbo, one can experience meditation and chanting. Also available is Kakurinbo’s original sutra writing experience.

Oeshiki highlights experience
After dinner, enjoy a reenactment of the “Matoi no Mai” dance performed by men at the Oeshiki Manto Procession, which is held every year from October 11th to 13th. Participants also enjoy the festival experience by striking their percussion instruments along to the rhythm and contribute to the festivities.

Tour of the great bell tower and bellstriking, and morning service at Kuon-ji Temple
At Minobusan Kuonji Temple, which boasts a history of 750 years, the bell strikes in the great bell tower at 5:00am. every morning. And a morning service is held every morning at 5:30am

Soba noodle making experience
At Kakurinbo, experience soba noodles making. Participants can eat their soba noodles for lunch.

Notes
- We will arrange the itinerary and experience content according to customer requests.
- Transportation costs to the meeting point and after the disbanding point are not included.
- Drinks at meals are not included. These will be paid separately by customer.
- In the event of rain, some of the program may be changed.
- Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
- The toilets at the accommodation are shared (with Japanese bidet). Baths are available for private use every hour from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. The next morning, only showers available if upon notification in advance. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
- If a penalty is incurred by a restaurant, etc. due to a cancellation, the actual cost will be charged separately.
